To learn, you must recognize the lesson
I’m writing this, because if you’ve ever tried to teach someone something, anything, you might have the feeling that you are not getting through, somehow. Sometimes I wonder if I am missing any of Life’s lessons just because I was not paying attention to the more experienced or simply, because I didn’t even recognize that they were trying to tell me something in the first place.
“To learn, you must recognize the lesson.”
It was one of the most insightful things a mentor once told me. Because sometimes, the headiness of youth leads you to think you know everything; actually you know nothing. And sadly, yes, there are some people who are unteachable.
I like to understand how things work, that’s why I try to listen.
This irrepressible passion for learning and life fuels us all.
Learning may inspire a mental image of a classroom that is this….
Well, this is my classroom. And I’ll never graduate, but I don’t care!
